The 100-foot tower is situated at the southern tip of the island and marks the entrance to St. Simon's Sound, off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia. Built in 1872, this pretty lighthouse is outfitted with a third-order Fresnel Lens from France, which makes its light visible 16 miles at sea.
