Built in 1917 on the side of the extinct Diamond Head Volcano, this light is one of the best-known in the Pacific region. The 55-foot square masonry tower has a third-order Fresnel Lens and is visible 18 miles out to sea. The light was automated in 1924 and is still an active navigational beacon today.
