Boston Lightworks Grand Haven Lighthouse Lamp
A most unusual lighthouse, Grand Haven is almost ship-like in its appearance. The structure bears two lights, inner and outer, one in a fixed red, the other a flashing red. The inner light is in a 51-foot steel, cylindrical tower with a parapet and lantern room; the outer light, located at the end of the pier, is also painted red and houses a foghorn as well. Grand Haven Lighthouse has been a fixture on the shore of Lake Michigan since its construction in 1905.
