Cana Island Light is located on a small island near Bailey's Harbor on Lake Michigan. Originally built in 1869, its 86-foot-tall brick tower was encased in iron in 1901 to withstand the rigors of duty on Lake Michigan. It still has its original Fresnel Lens, which casts its beam 18 miles seaward.
